Anna Wilgenbusch, University of Dallas, Runner of the Week (Week 8)

ANNA WILGENBUSCH OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore from St. Paul, Minn., has been named the SCAC Women’s Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

Wilgenbusch won her sixth race of the season and broke her own 6K record with a time of 22:23.4 at the Bill Libby Invitational. Her average mile was 6:00.3. The sophomore continues to shine on the course, breaking the mark of 22:41.8 she set a week ago.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Lucy Wagner of Colorado College ran at the Lewis and Clark Invitational in Estacada, Oregon and ran a 23:32 for the 6K - a personal best. This was in a field of 13 schools and a 131 runners. Wagner finished 23rd overall and led her team to a fifth-place finish. Senior Abby Ringen of St. Thomas was the first Celt across the finish line at the Santa Clara Open Invitational on Saturday. She finished the 6K course in a time of 25:20.2, good for 139th out of 209 runners. Senior Kylee Garcia of Texas Lutheran broke her own PR by almost a full minute in the 6K by running 23:05 at the Division 1 UC Riverside Highlander Invitational. Her time puts her second all-time in the TLU record book. Junior Jordan Juran of Trinity set a new personal 6K record with a time of 22:51.8 at the Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday.
