ANNA WILGENBUSCH OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore from St. Paul, Minn., has been named the SCAC Women’s Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12.

Wilgenbusch won her fifth competition in as many tries in 2019 with the team's first 6K this fall at the ETBU Tiger Invitational. Her performance led the UD women to a first place team finish and, in the process, the sophomore shattered her third school record this fall as she topped the previous best 23:38 mark with a 22:41.80 result.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Kylee Garcia of Texas Lutheran finished in 19th place overall in a mainly Division I and II field at the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic on Saturday. Garcia posted an impressive 5K time of 19:40.6 in the typical hot and steamy Florida weather. Sophomore Grace Ringen of St. Thomas was again the first Celt across the finish line this week as St. Thomas competed in a tri-meet with Division I programs Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M. Ringen finished sixth with a time of 21:25, which was ahead of all but one of TSU's runners. Senior Rachel Seligson of Johnson & Wales ran a personal best for the second meet in a row, finishing in the top half of the field at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open.
