JORDAN JURAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Littleton, Colo., has been named the SCAC Women’s Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.
Juran led Trinity's women to a fifth-place finish as a team at the Chile Pepper Festival in Arkansas on Saturday. Juran finished the 5K race in 19:01.1 for 22nd place individually.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas continued her impressive campaign with another first place finish at the UD Invitational. Wilgenbusch completed the 5K course in a time of 19:12.50. Freshman Emma Pertuit of Southwestern finished with a 5K time of 21:09 and averaged 6:48 a mile at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival. Sophomore Grace Ringen of St. Thomas finished fourth out 29 runners at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational on Saturday. Ringen completed the 5K course with a time of 21:08.2.
