TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Trinity University finished in 12th place at the 2012 NCAA Women's Cross Country Championship at the LaVern Gibson Course on Saturday morning. Team Results | Individual Results
Competing in its fifth NCAA Championship meet (2004, 2006-2008, 2012) the Tigers posted the school's best finish at the NCAA Championship as Trinity finished 12th. Trinity finished with 333 points and was just five points back of 10th place Hope.
Vanessa Moreno paced all Tiger runners as she tallied a top-50 finish as the 2012 SCAC Runner of the Year completed the 6K course with a time of 22:11.20 to finish in 43rd place out of 277 runners.
Maddie Murphy finished in 51st with a time of 22:19.80. Also competing for the Tigers were Rosemary Steup (80th - 22:36.10), Jessica Pagano (150th - 23:04.90), Jackie Newell (159th - 23:09.90), Jessie Dean (222nd - 23:41.80) and Nicola Hill (235th - 23:53.40).
Colorado College's Erin Morrow competed as an individual and covered the course in 22:44.90. Morrow posted a top 100 finish as she finished 96th.
