MARY CARDONE OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through Sunday March 26th.
Cardone continued to dominate on the singles courts, winning three more matches last week at the No. 2 spot. The first-year has been perfect in singles matchups, posting a 12-0 record. She also helped the Pirates increase their winning streak to 12 matches with three victories last week.
Cardone and sophomore Anna Schneemann combined to log a 2-1 mark on the doubles courts at the top spot last week.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Kirsten Weber of Austin College went 2-0 at line one doubles and 1-2 at line 1 singles this week for the 'Roos.
