MARY KAFFEN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., has been named the SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through Sunday February 26th.
Kaffen led Trinity's women's tennis team to a 1-2 record over the weekend, with the losses coming against #5 Claremont and #11 Washington-St. Louis.
Kaffen went 3-0 at #2 doubles for the Tigers, as well as posting a 2-1 record in singles. She played #5 singles against CMS and WashU, and was at line four against UT-Dallas.
After the wekeend, Kaffen improved her doubles record to 6-2 and her singles mark to 4-3.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Katie Seibert of Austin College had an outstanding weekend for Austin College, going 3-1 in doubles competition at lines one and two, while also going 3-1 in singles action.
