KRISTY
HAMILTON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year from
Oakbrook, Ill., has been named SCAC Women's Tennis
Player-of-the-Week for matches played through Sunday, March 3.
Hamilton won two doubles matches at the ITA National
Indoor tournament at No. 3 doubles.
Hamilton started the weekend off with a dramatic
come-from-behind 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles over Washington
& Lee's Cameron Dorsey to clinch the match and advance
Trinity to Saturday's semifinal round.
In that same match, she partnered with Stephanie Williamson for
an 8-2 win over the Generals' Claire Cahill & Allison
Hupalo at No. 3 doubles.
On Saturday in the semifinals,
Hamilton and Williamson beat Carnegie
Mellon’s Alexandra Tapak/Brooke Tsu, 8-5, for the team's only
point of the match.
