KATIE CORNWELL OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a sophomore from Lafayette, La., has been named SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for matches played through Sunday, February 10.

Cornwell played a large part of Centenary women’s tennis’ 2-1 start. Cornwell is 2-1 in doubles action and 2-1 in singles play. Her four total wins are tied for the top spot on the team with her doubles partner Katelyn Alexander.

In singles action, Cornwell swept her Louisiana College counterpart 6-0, 6-0 for the Ladies first team win of the season. She followed with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 win against LeTourneau.

In doubles action, Cornwell and her partner Katelyn Alexander have tallied impressive wins of 8-1 at LC and a sweep against LeTourneau, 8-0.
