• SCAC announces Spring 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll

    SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,077 student-athletes to the 2010 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 1,029 student-athletes.

It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

The DePauw men will take on Trinity University - the eighth consecutive year the two have played for the men's title. The DePauw women will take on Sewanee-The University of the South. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. CDT.

    SEWANEE, Tenn. - Veteran Sewanee women's tennis coach Conchie Shackelford recorded her 400th career win on Saturday with a 9-0 shutout of visiting Agnes Scott College. Shackelford's career record is 400-150 (.727) in her 24th season, making her the winningest coach in Sewanee athletics history. Shackelford has coached 27 All-Americans, the 1993 ITA national doubles champions, nine top-10 teams, and has won six conference championships (four WIAC, two SCAC).
