Southwestern's Doty Earns SCAC Swimmer of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University freshman Madison Doty been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Female Swimmer-of-the-Week, respectively, for Week Four of the 2013-14 SCAC Women's Swimming & Diving season. There were no nominations for divers this weekend.





 

 

SCAC WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Sunday, November 17

MADISON DOTY OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Allen, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, November 17.

At Oklahoma Baptist on Friday, Doty placed third in 50SC Mete freestyle with a time of 28.50 as well as a third place finish in the 100 SC Meter Backstroke time of 1:09.34. 

One day later, against Austin College, Doty led of the Southwestern's 200 Meter Relay Team with a 50 Meter Backstroke split of 28.72. She also went on to win the 200 Meter IM with a time of 2:17.23 and 100 Meter Freestyle with a time of 55.81.

Doty is currently the SCAC leader in the 100 Meter Backstroke with a time of 1:01.58, second in the 100 Meter Freestyle at 55.02, and third in the 200 Meter Freestyle at 2:01.44
