LINDSEY LONGUET OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Missouri City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15.

Longuet shares the award this week with Kayla Oliveira of Texas Lutheran University.

Longuet picked up the win in both games of Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of Concordia (Texas), working 14.0 innings while allowing just a combined eight hits and one earned run. The league's leader in strikeouts with 79, the senior struck out 14 batters while walking four in the two wins.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
 Senior pitcher Kayla Oliveira of Texas Lutheran notched a pair of pitching victories last week and did not allow an earned run in 12 innings of work. She tossed a complete-game, one-hitter in the 12-0 win over Baldwin-Wallace in Tucson, Ariz. She struck out four and walked two in that win. Against Trinity, she pitched six shutout innings, walking one and striking out five. Junior pitcher Allie Holbrook of Trinity allowed just two runs and scattered seven hits over a complete-game effort against defending national champion Texas Lutheran over the weekend, closing out the 2020 season.
