SYDNEY OUELETTE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman pitcher from Corpus Christi, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 10 through Sunday, February 16.

Ouelette notched a win and a save in a doubleheader road sweep Saturday of LeTourneau. The right-hander went 4.1 innings in relief for her first collegiate win in the Bulldogs' comeback victory in the opener. She struck out two and allowed only one hit. In her 1.2 innings of relief in the second game, she picked up the save when she appeared with the tying run on deck. Ouelette worked out of the jam to collect her third save of the year. She did not allow a hit in that relief appearance. Her ERA for the year remains at 0.00.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher Maggie Watts of Dallas pitched a complete game shutout in the Crusaders' 2-0 victory at Howard Payne on Saturday. She picked up her third career shutout, and scattered six hits and walked one. Watts added two punch outs. In a second outing on Sunday agaisnt Hendrix, the junior righthander went the distance and gave up four earned runs while walking one and fanning two. Sophomore pitcher Bri Wodtke of Schreiner helped lead the Mountaineers to a 1-1 mark against UT-Dallas. She pitched a complete game victory over UTD in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, and went 4-for-7 with three RBIs and two stolen bases at the plate. Junior pitcher Lexi Shafer of Southwestern won both games she pitched over the weekend and only allowed three hits and no earned runs as the Pirates defeated Hardin-Simmons and McMurry. Junior pitcher Allie Holbrook of Trinity pitched in all three of the Tigers' wins over the weekend as the team went 3-1 overall in doubleheaders against Millsaps and UT-Dallas. Holbrook was 1-0 with a save in her three appearances, allowing just five earned runs over 13.2 innings of work, and striking out seven batters.
