Stacy Rosengren, Southwestern University, Softball - Offensive Player of the Week (Week 7)

STACY ROSENGREN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior outfielder from Round Rock, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played through Tuesday, March 24th.

Rosengren was terrific this past weekend, playing a huge role in Southwestern's 4-0 weekend, all coming in SCAC play. 

Rosengren went 6-for-11 (.545) with a double, a home run, four RBIs, six run scored, and a stolen base to lead the Pirates to a four game sweep over the Centenary Ladies. She also had a slugging percentage of .909 to go with an on base percentage of .667. 

In a 10-0 win over Centenary, Rosengren went 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored. She would follow that up in the finale with a 3-for-3 day with two RBIs, one run scored, and a stolen base. 

For the season, Rosengren leads the conferene in homeruns (3), slugging percentage (.734), and total bases (47) and is second in the league in batting average (.422), runs (20), and on base percentage (.519). Additionally, she is third in triples (2), third in RBIs (21), and fourth in doubles (7). 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman second baseman Jaylin Clevenger of Austin College had a strong week at the plate for Austin College, batting .364 with a run scored and two runs batted in, and added a stolen base for the 'Roos in four games. Senior catcher Taylor Garcia of Dallas notched at least one hit in each game versus Austin College to push her hitting streak to five games, while compiling seven RBI over the four contests. Her series-high came in the second of a doubleheader Monday night versus the Roos' with three. Senior second baseman Ashley Jacobsen of Texas Lutheran hit .429 over six games and led the Bulldogs to six victories. Jacobsen reached base 50 percent of the time and slugged .619. She collected seven runs scored, seven stolen bases and six RBI. She homered in the first game of the 4-game set with Schreiner. Junior outfielder Emily Fleischman of Trinity hit .400 (4-10) for the week, scoring a team-best three runs, and posting a .571 on-base percentage in her four starts. She picked up a hit in three of the four games last week, and was 3-6 against OLLU on Tuesday. Centenary and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.
