KELSEY
KINGSTON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a first-year
right-hander from Kingwood, Texas, has been selected the SCAC
Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 11
through Sunday, March 17.
Kingston was dominant in six starts last week for
the Pirates in Arizona. She went 6-0 with a miniscule 0.47 ERA (two
earned runs in 30 innings) while striking out 30 during the
week.
She tallied 20 of her 30 strikeouts for the week in her last
three starts in Arizona and allowed just two earned runs (0.82 ERA)
during that time.
For the week, Kinston posted a 0.67 WHIP (Walks+Hits/Innings Pitched) while averaging seven strikeouts per seven innings pitched.
