MAX BLACKBURN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at the Lewis and Clark Invitational.
Blackburn finished 18th in a field of 116 individuals. He led the Tigers to a sixth place finish out of 11 teams.
Blackburn now lead the SCAC with a conference 8k time of 25:59.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Austin Brown of Trinity University led the Tigers at the Principia Cowbell Invitational with his time of 27:04.07. Freshman Will Lord of Southwestern University placed fourth overall in the Southwestern University Invitational and led the Pirates' to a second place finish overall. Senior Blake Westbrook of Texas Lutheran University posted a 39th place finish at the University of South Florida Invitational, a largely Division I competition.
