MICHAEL ERICKSON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Sugarland, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at the Chile Pepper Festival.
Erickson ran his first 10K of his career and finished the race at an impressive 32:54.
Erickson helped his team finish 22nd out of 40 teams and he placed 118th out of 330 individuals.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Caleb Calderon of Texas Lutheran University took first for the Bulldogs at the Southwest Texas Junior College invitational and finished the 5k in 17:47. Junior Elliot Blake of Trinity University finished 105th out of 330 runners at the Chile Pepper Festival with his time of 32:46.
