ELLIOT BLAKE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Fort Worth, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at the Alamo City Opener.

Blake finished the race in 15:52.2 in the 5k event. This time is 22 seconds faster than last year's winning time of the meet.

The Tigers will compete this weekend at the Our Lady of the Lake Collegiate Invite in Windcrest, Texas.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Tony Calderon of Colorado College lead the Tigers with a 27:25 8k time and placed eighth in a field of strong divison II runners at the Colorado/Colorado Springs Rust Buster meet.
