  • DePauw Wins Fifth Consecutive SCAC President's Trophy

    SUWANEE, Ga. - With spring championships in women's tennis and women's golf - in addition to second-place finishes in men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's tennis - DePauw University cruised to a 127.5 point victory in the race for the 2009-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference President's Trophy. It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

    NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference had 16 total men's and women's cross country teams named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic list for the 2009 season. Nine women's teams were honored while seven men's teams earned the distinction.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 783 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll on Friday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 778 student-athletes. Since its inception in the fall of 1997, over 15,500 student-athletes have achieved recognition for their contributions in the classroom.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - Jackson Brainerd, the SCAC Men's Runner of the Year, led the Colorado College men to a 25th-place team finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships Saturday morning at the Highland Park Golf Course.

    SUWANEE, Ga. - Colorado College sophomore Jackson Brainerd, by running a 25:26 8K, won the 2009 NCAA West Regional championship. With the win Brainerd automatically qualifies for next week's NCAA Division III National Championship in Cleveland, Ohio.

    CONYERS, Ga. - Behind the 2009 SCAC Men's Runner of the Year Jackson Brainerd's first-place finish, the Colorado College Tigers earned their second SCAC title in four years. Brainerd completed the 8K course with a time of 24:29.60 to set a new record at the conference championship.
