Men's Cross Country Recap (Week 1) - Around the SCAC

SUWANEE, Ga. - The 2009 cross country season marks the 19th season of competition in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Each SCAC team, except for Oglethorpe, started its season this past weekend.

The Rhodes College Lynx posted an impressive showing at the Sewanee Invitational. The Lynx placed five runners in the top-50 enroute to a fourth-place overall finish out of 11 schools. Chris Moore (27:24), Cody Beatty (27:43), Will Hawes (28:11), Evan Nelsen (28:13) and Matt Miller (28:38) all posted top-50 times on the 8K course.

Other strong performances came from Centre College as the Colonels posted a top-5 overall finish at the Sewanee Invitational.
