Daniel Sarman of Trinity University, a freshman from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his performance during the week spanning January 21 through January 27.
Sarman started off last weekend’s meet against Birmingham-Southern by helping the Tigers to a victory in the 200 medley relay, swimming the butterfly leg in 23.4 seconds. The Texas native went on to swim a solid 53.3 in the 100 back and 47.7 in the 100 free, then led off Trinity with a stellar 1:43.8 in the 800 free relay.
Other Outstanding Performances:
Southwestern freshman Keith Gill won the 100 fly in a time of 52.89 in the Pirates’ dual with UT-Permian Basin.
