Walker Martin of Colorado College, a sophomore from Boulder, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his performance during the week spanning October 16th through October 21st.

In two meets over the weekend, Martin won all six of his events, leading CC to wins on both occasions. On Friday Martin competed in the 400 medley relay (free split 48.89), 200 free (1:49.07), 100 free (50.16). On Saturday, he came out victorious in the 200 free (1:50.59), 100 free (49.53), and split 22.6 on the 200 free relay.

Other Outstanding Performances:

Freshman Joel Coppernoll of the University of the Ozarks posted two top-10 performances at the Little Rock Invite. Freshman Miguel Vasquez led the Centenary effort in both of their meets last week winning the 200 butterfly and 400 relay on Friday and 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke on Saturday. Junior Dany Baki of McMurry earned individual victories in the 1000 free as well as a team victory in the 200 free relay at the Hawks dual meet against Austin College. Junior Chris Brown led Austin College to victory after winning the 200 indiviual medley, 100 backstroke and 200 medley relay events at its dual meet with McMurry.
