COLTON ALLEN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior forward from Roanoke, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 13th through Sunday, October 19th.
Allen had a huge weekend for the Crusaders, scoring two goals to force a 2-2 draw with 14th-ranked Colorado College. They defeated Centenary earlier in the week, 2-0, which increased Dallas' winning streak to five games at the time.
Allen opened the scoring in the second half, netting the first goal of the game in the 59th minute for a 1-0 lead. After Colorado College evened it up, Allen struck again, this time in the 75th minute for a 2-1 lead. The Tigers would get an equalizer to end the match in a draw, but the draw gave the Crusaders third place in the SCAC Standings.
For the season, Allen leads the team with eight goals including a team-leading three game winning goals. He also has an assist on the season. His eight goals are currently third overall in the conference.
