JACK AMMONS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior defenseman from Edgewood, Colo., has been named the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 25 through Sunday, March 31.
Ammons picked up nine ground balls and caused seven turnovers to lead the Tigers to a split record last week. In the 12-8 come-from-behind victory over MIT, the senior defender grabbed three ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers. In Friday’s 19-9 loss to No. 14 Williams College, Ammons set a career high with five caused turnovers and matched his career best with six ground balls.
