KATHRYN HAYS
OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a sophomore on the
women’s tennis team from Lexington, Ky., has been has
been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending April 22, 2012.
In addition to being the Colonels’ number one singles
competitor, Hays is also a member of the
Leadership Team of the Centre Christian Fellowship Group. She is
the secretary of the Centre branch of the Fellowship of Christian
Athletes and has been a volunteer for family weekends at the Centre
for Courageous Kids in Scottsville, Ky.
Hays is a member of the Beta Phi chapter of Delta
Delta Delta, where she has held the offices of Chapter
Correspondent/Alumnae Relations in 2011-12 and Sponsor/Reference
Chair in 2012/13.
