RILEY CERONE
OF OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a junior guard
on the women's basketball team from Roswell, Ga., has been selected
the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending February 19,
2012.
A deadly three-point shooter on the
court, Cerone is also extremely active in the
Oglethorpe community. She volunteers her time with the Sunrise
Assisted Living facility in Atlanta helping the disabled elderly
and forming friendships.
Additionally, Cerone serves on the Oglethorpe
Petrel Council, the student advisory board to the Stormy Petrels
athletic department.
