Colorado College Falls to No. 21 in First USTFCCCA Poll

NEW ORLEANS -- The Colorado College women's cross country fell to No. 21 in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches' poll this season.

The Tigers, ranked No. 16 in the preaseason, came in at #21 after two weeks of competition this season. They remain ranked No. 2 in the West Region.

In the first two events of the season, CC has posted third place finishes. In both competitions, however, Colorado College has been the sole NCAA Division III representative.

Leah Wessler has led the team in both competitions, posting an 11th place finish in the Colorado College Invitational, and a fifth place finish in the 2016 Rust Buster.

The Tigers next competition will be the Nebraska Wesleyan Woody Greeno Invitational on Saturday in Lincoln, Nebraska.
