Trinity's McCullough Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Molly McCullough of Trinity University was name to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Track/Cross Country team Tuesday.

McCullough, a junior member of the Tigers cross country and track and field team, boasts a 3.96 grade point average as an engineering science major. On the course this fall, McCullough finished second at the SCAC championships before leading the Tigers to a win at the regional meet with a third place finish in the field of 240 runners. She then took a 38th place finish a the national championship to earn All-America honors.

During the track season, McCullough qualified for the NCAAs with the nation's sixth-best 3,000 meter steeplechase time. At the championship event, she just missed out on All-America status, qualifying for the finals, but taking ninth place with a time of 10:46.56.

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.
