LAURA GOLDSMITH OF COLORADO
COLLEGE, a junior libero/outside hitter from
Pacific Palisades, Calif., has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 10
through Sunday, October 16.
Goldsmith led the team with 64 digs to average
16.0 digs a game (4.92 digs/set) to help the Tigers go undefeated
over the weekend. She also had 30 kills, six assists, four service
aces and two blocks over four games. Goldsmith hit
a career-high .571 on eight kills in 14 attempts and also had eight
digs and an ace in a 3-0 win over Chapman (Calif.) to begin the
weekend.
