MELODY DUONG OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a sophomore from League City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, April 7.

Duong posted a pair of straight-set victories at line one to lead the ‘Roos to a 2-0 record against conference opponents Colorado College and Texas Lutheran last week. Against CC, Duong held off Tess Rubin to win 6-4, 7-6 (6). The next day, the sophomore managed a 6-2, 6-3 win over TLU’s M.P Hubert. On the season, Duong is 5-4 from the No. 1 position.

Other Outstanding Performances:

Trinity junior Ashley DeBauge defeated opponents from Texas-Dallas and Hardin Simmons to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 record last week.
