SIONED KIRKPATRICK OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from San Antonio, Texas has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, October 5th through Sunday, October 12th.
Kirkpatrick knocked home the game-winners in each of TLU's two victories over the weekend. She scored the first goal in a 3-0 win over Centenary, and she scored two goals (including the game-winner in the 75th minute) against Austin College. For the weekend, she had three goals, six points, 14 total shots, and seven shots on goal.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Julia Camp of Trinity University scored two of Trinity's four goals during the game, including the eventual game-winning goal in the first half of play. Freshman forward Mason Cosgrove of the University of Dallas kicked her team-leading third goal of her rookie season. Sophomore defender Ana Gutierrez of Southwestern University led the Pirates offensively with one goal and two assists for four points. Junior forward Ashley Rice of Austin College added to her team-best goal tally with a pair of scores over the weekend.
