DELANEY MORROW OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore defender from Houston, Texas has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, September 28th through Sunday, October 4th.
Delaney helped lead the Mountaineers to a 1-0-1 week with two goals in the victory over Southwestern University.
Schreiner is off to a 7-3-2 overall start and sit at 4-1-1 in SCAC play. The Mountaineers take on the University of Dallas at home on October 11th.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Alice Nelson of the University of Dallas scored the only goal Dallas would need to defeat Centenary College, 3-0, on Friday. Senior Hannah Poenisch of Austin College scored a game-tying goal late against Dallas to force overtime with the Crusaders, knocking home a penalty kick to help the 'Roos earn a 1-1 draw in the team's lone match of the week.
