KATIE GARRETT
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY,
a sophomore goalkeeper from Joshua, Texas, has been named the SCAC
Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from
Monday, October 25 through Sunday, October 25.
Garrett recorded a pair of SCAC shutouts to close out
Trinity’s regular season home schedule over the weekend. She
recorded three saves in the two games to improve her season record
to 15-1, having started every game this season.
Garrett has lowered her GAA to 0.52 this season,
recording 35 saves and seven shutouts in nearly 1,400 minutes in
goal. Garrett has also led the Tigers to first
place in the SCAC standings following the two shutout wins.
