WILLINGHAM OF SEWANEE-THE UNIVERSITYOF

SOUTH, a senior defender from
Atlanta, Ga., has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 18
through Sunday, October 24.
Willingham anchored a Sewanee defense that held Hendrix
College to just four shots on Sunday. The Tigers didn’t allow
a single shot from the Warriors in the first half and out shot them
on the day, 28 to four.
Willingham also anchored the Tigers’ defensive
effort on Friday night in a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Rhodes.
The Tigers out shot Rhodes 19 to 11 and controlled the ball for
much of the second half.
