JAMIE WRIGHT OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior from Alexandria, La., has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, September 30.

Wright led the Ladies to a ninth place finish at the Al Jones Jr. Memorial Tournament. She finished the competition in ninth place in a field of 44 golfers.

Wright shot a 79 through the first 18 holes and added a score of 82 in the second half for a final score of 161.

This is the first tournament of the season for the Ladies. The team will head to Birmingham, Ala. next weekend to compete in the Birmingham Southern Tournament.
