HANNAH NINER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Keller, Texas, is named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Niner helped lead the Tigers to a top finish at the Schreiner Spring Shootout this week, posting a first place finish after shooting a 159 through the 36-hole tournament.
Niner shot an 83 through the first round, leaving her in a tie for ninth after day one. She came back to post the lowest round of the competition Tuesday, 76, to improve to first place.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Gabby Rangel of Texas Lutheran University finished in 12th place at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, marking a 174 through 36-holes.
