July 09, 2009ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2008-09 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll and Sewanee-The University of the South was ranked 17th among all of Division III programs. -
SCAC announces Spring 2009 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll
July 08, 2009SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,029 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 948 student-athletes.

Oglethorpe Storms to Sweet Sixteen With 67-40 Win Over Greensboro
March 07, 2009ATLANTA, Ga. - The Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels defeated the Greensboro College Pride on Pinholster Court in Atlanta in NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Second Round action on Saturday night, 67-40. The Pride were done in by an Oglethorpe defense that forced 28 turnovers and held them to a dismal 16 of 78 (20.5%) shooting performance.

Oglethorpe Advances to NCAA Second Round after 68-65 Win Over Maryville
March 06, 2009ATLANTA, Ga. - The Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels defeated the Maryville (Tenn.) College Scots on Pinholster Court Friday night in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Round One action, 68-65. Senior Anna Findley buried a 3-pointer for Oglethorpe with less than a minute remaining to provide the final margin and lift the Petrels to the win.

Hitchcock Resigns as Hendrix Women’s Coach; McCracken to Take over Position
March 05, 2009CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix College head women’s basketball coach Chris Hitchcock has resigned for personal reasons. Hendrix assistant men’s basketball coach Thad McCracken (pictured) has been named the new head women’s basketball coach. Amber Gean will remain as the women's assistant coach.
