ASHLEY HALBERT OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a junior right-hander from Crandall, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 2 through Sunday, April 8.

Halbert went 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA and nine strikeouts in 14 innings against Dallas. In Friday's 8-1 win, she struck out three and allowed three hits and an unearned run. In Saturday's 2-1 win, Halbert fanned six and allowed six hits, a run and a walk.

Halbert also was a force at the plate hitting .778 (7-for-9) with six runs scored, three doubles, a home run and six runs batted in to lead Hendrix to a four-game sweep of Dallas. She also had an on-base percentage of .857 and slugging percentage of 1.444.
