TONY CALDERON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a freshman from Fort Collins, Colorado, has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, September 11th.
Calderon led the Tigers to a 4th place finish in a field predominantly made up of NCAA Division II competition.
Calderon finished the race in 42nd place, but finished 30th among collegiate runners with a time of 27:32 for the 8k race.
Colorado College will compete next at the Nebraska Wesleyan Woody Greeno Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska Saturday.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jacob Hammond of Trinity University finished second overall in the OLLU Invite, but was the top Division III finisher. He posted a time of 27:01 in the 8k race.
