JOHN GILMER OF SEWANEE: UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH, a senior from Mobile, Ala., has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 8.
On a hot day, Gilmer led at the Gibson Family Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.
In the field of 189 runners (many from division II schools), Gilmer finished 10th and was the third Division III finisher. His time of 27:02 was 57 seconds faster than at the same race last year, and his 10th place finish was 26 places better.
