JACE AKAGI-OKUMA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year from Mililiani, Hawaii, has been named the SCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through Sunday, March 18th.
Lambeth led the #15 Trinity men's tennis team to a 3-0 weekend, including wins over Austin College, Hardin-Simmons, and East Texas Baptist.
Lambeth went 3-0 in singles play over the weekend, winning in straight sets in each of his contests. He won at line three against Austin and Hardin-Simmons, then moved up for a match-clinching win at #1 singles against East Texas Baptist.
Other outstandings performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Andres Padilla of Austin College went 2-2 at line one singles including a victory over the top player for Concordia-Texas. Junior Andrew Albright of Schreiner University went 2-1 at No. 4/5 to lead the Mountaineers to a 2-1 record. Sophomore Tyler Norman of Southwestern University won 6-1, 6-0 in No. 3 singles at Howard Payne before defeating LeTourneau 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 10-8) at No. 4 singles
