JEFF HAYES OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior defender from San
Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Soccer
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday,
September 22 through Sunday, September 29.
Hayes led Trinity’s defense to a pair of
shutouts over the weekend, extending the team’s winning
streak and shutout streak to four games.
In addition to holding Centenary and Austin College scoreless,
Hayes contributed two goals and an assist to the
cause. In the second half against Austin, he had a goal and
an assist to cap the weekend for the Tigers.
After starting the season injured, Hayes made his
return to the lineup this weekend, leading the Tigers to the two
shutouts, and scoring two goals and an assist as well.
