JOSH ADAMS OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior midfielder from
Houston, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
November 1 through Sunday, November 7.
Adams led Trinity to a pair of road wins in SCAC play this
past weekend, finishing off the regular season, and clinching the
2010 SCAC Championship.
Adams scored both goals in a 2-1 win over DePauw that gave
Trinity at least a share of the conference title and the
league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs. He opened
the scoring in the seventh minute, then came back after halftime to
put Trinity back in front 2-1 in the 59th minute. Three of
his four shots were on goal in the game.
For the season, Adams has scored five goals and
three assists (13 points), tying for fifth place on the team in
goals scored. Friday marked his first game-winning goal of
the season.
