Aaron Wyatt, University of Dallas, Men's Basketball - Player of the Week (Week 2)

AARON WYATT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior forward from Frisco, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played through Sunday, November 23rd.

Wyatt led Dallas offensively again with another pair of double-digit scoring performances against Howard Payne and Sul Ross State in the Bob Mason Classic at Austin College.

Wyatt poured in 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting to open the weekend with a victory over the Yellow Jackets. He added seven boards in 32 minutes played as well as three blocked shots. 

The senior forward notched a double-double in Saturday's overtime victory and also poured in a season-high, 24 points. Wyatt's last basket occurred on a layup to push the Crusader's advantage to three points and helped keep his squad unbeaten early in the campaign. 

Wyatt is currently second in the SCAC in both points per game and rebounds per game. He currently averages 17.5 points/game in four matchups to go along with 8.0 rebounds/game. He is also fifth in the conference in blocks/game at 1.0.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore guard Jeremy Swisher of Austin College had a strong opening week in leading Austin College to a 2-0 start to the season, averaging 14.0 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 47.6% from the field and 88.9% from the free throw line against Sul Ross and Howard Payne. Senior guard Caden Cheramie of Centenary averaged 15.0 points over the weekend to go with 6.0 rebounds per game, 5.0 assists per game, and 3.5 steals per game in a pair of losses to McMurry and East Texas Baptist. Senior forward Blake Scott of Southwestern poured in eight points and added seven boards and two blocks in the Pirates season opener against Hardin-Simmons. Sophomore forward Zach Behr of Texas Lutheran scored 17 points and grabbed three rebounds in a non-conference home loss Tuesday to Concordia Texas. Behr was 5-for-8 from the field and 6-for-8 from the three-point line. Sophomore forward A.J. Pulliam of Trinity  led Trinity in scoring over the past week, as the Tigers opened up their home schedule, and played two games at the SCIAC Classic in California. Pulliam paced the Tiger scoring attack in two of the three games over the past week, reaching double figures in both of the West Coast games this weekend. Colorado College and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.
