KAT SIMPSON OF RHODES COLLEGE, a freshman forward from St. Louis, Mo., has been selected as the SCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played Monday, October 17 through Sunday, October 23.

Simpson scored all three of the Lynx goals this weekend including both scores in Rhodes’ 2-1 conference win at Hendrix.  Simpson scored both on breakaway opportunities on Saturday and also notched the Lynx lone goal in Monday night’s 2-1 loss to SUNY New Paltz.  Kat now leads the team in goals, assists, and points with 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points, which is also tops in the conference.
