Dylan Murrell of Texas Lutheran University, a senior pitcher from Tomball, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 18 through Sunday, February 24.
Murrell picked up the complete-game win over UT- Dallas on Saturday, striking out five while allowing only four hits. =
Other Outstanding Performances:
Junior right-hander Mark Tindall of Trinity struck out six batters over 4.2 innings of work in the series opener against Endicott, allowing one run (unearned) on three hits to spark Trinity to an 8-1 victory. Dallas junior left-hand pitcher Zachary Taylor earned his first win of the season going five innings of a 14-2 victory over Blackburn College in the NCC-Saluki Tournament. Junior right-hand pitcher Colton Hunter was dominant for Southwestern in the 5-2 win over McMurry, finishing with eight strikouts in the complete game effort.
