Austin Warner of Centenary College, a sophomore right-hand pitcher/infielder from Highland, Calif., has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Saturday, February 2 through February 10.
Over two appearances in nine innings of work, Warner allowed just a single run while striking out five and walking two. He tossed a 7-inning complete game on Saturday against East Texas Baptist, holding the high-powered Tigers’ offense to just one run and four hits. In addition, Warner twirled two-innings of shut out relief against Louisana College, striking out three batters and allowing just one hit.

Texas Lutheran pitcher Drew Waller recorded a 0.00 ERA in 5.1 innings against Mary Hardin-Baylor, allowing two hits and notching six strikeouts. Junior left-hander James Nittoli of Trinity grabbed a win on Sunday against SUNY Cortland, tallying six strikeouts with a 3.38 ERA. Dallas left-hand pitcher Conrad Voss opened his season with 2.45 ERA after earning a pair of wins with a total of five strikeouts. Freshman pitcher Devin Hooper of Schreiner got the starting knod on Saturday, guiding the Mountaineers to a 3-0 shutout win over McMurry.
