KEATON BOHRMANN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior third baseman from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played Monday, April 4th through Sunday, April 10th.
Bohrmann led the Bulldogs to two wins in the three-game SCAC road series at No. 1 Trinity by hitting .615 and driving in six runs. Bohrmann finished the series 8-for-13 at the plate. He had three hits in the opener, two hits in the 15-5 run-rule win and three more hits in the series finale. Bohrmann had an on-base percentage of .688 and a slugging percentage of .692.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outfielder Will Cates of Southwestern University hit .421 (8-for-14) with a double, two home runs and six RBIs out of the leadoff spot last week for Southwestern. Senior infielder Colin Serkowski of Trinity University hit .409 (9-22) with seven runs and eight RBI over the five-game stretch, hitting a double and three home runs (the first three of his career). Sophomore catcher Chris Zapata of Centenary College finished the week batting .417 with a double, triple and home run. Junior outfielder Avery Arnold of Dallas produced a .571 batting average and delivered a 3-for-4 display in the series finale to help Dallas win its weekend series, 2-1, over Schreiner.
