MOLLY MCCULLOUGH OF TRINTIY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13.
McCullough finished seventh overall at the highly-competitive Inter-Regional Border Battle in New Jersey with an outstanding time of 21:39. She competed against top DIII teams in the nation, including the top-ranked team. The course was extremely muddy but she ran a smart raced and moved up over the 6k distance.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Ashley Rynard of Texas Lutheran competed on a soft 5K course at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational and ran a PR of 19:17. The course experienced rain overnight along with showers during the race.
