MOLLY MCCULLOUGH OF TRINITY, a senior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance at the Alamo City Opener this past weekend.
McCullough won the Alamo City Opener for the second time in her career, leading the Tiger team to another team victory at their home event. She won the event by nearly a minute over the nearest competitor, and her time of 18:32.8 is more than 35 seconds faster than her time at this race last season.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Allysa Warling of Colorado College opened her final season in impressive fashion finishing sixth in a field of 61-runners at the UCCS Cross Country Invitational. Warling crossed the line of the 5k course in 18:43 beating her previous best time at the meet of 19:01 set in 2017. Freshman Anna Wilgenbusch of the University of Dallas was the first non-Div. II runner to cross the line at the DBU Cross Country Opener in a PR time of 20:15.
