Allysa Warling, Colorado College, Runner of the Week (Week 2)

Allysa Warling of Colorado College, a senior from Loveland, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance at the Colorado College Cross Country Invitational. 

On Saturday, Warling placed third among collegiate runners and fourth overall in a field of 83. Warling ran a personal course record of 23:29.7 for the 6K in a field composed of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and community colleges, leading her team to a 2nd place finish.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Trinity junior Brianna Ratliff led the Tiger women to a second consecutive team victory to open the season, winning the OLLU Invitational. Ratliff finished tied for second with teammate Jordan Juran, as they crossed the line at 19:42.6. Junior Ashley Rynard of Texas Lutheran earned a fourth-place overall finish at the largely Div. II meet at the University of Illinois Springfield. Her time of 16:14 on the muddy course was a personal best at that distance.
